“I really don’t think life is about the I-could-have-beens. Life is only about the I-tried-to-do. I don’t mind the failure but I can’t imagine that I’d forgive myself if I didn’t try.”
—Nikki Giovanni
This chapter of Press Play: Music As a Catalyst of Change is about how musicians use music as a form of therapy and self-improvement.
Music has been been a great source of self-therapy and continuous improvement for me over the years.
Along my journey (since 2013), I have traveled with a small kit of musical equipment. This has allowed me to continuously make music and upload a handful of my creations to platforms like SoundCloud.

My Usual Setup
- Laptop
- Native Instrument Maschine
- A midi keyboard
- Speakers or Headphones
